Street View

The way in. Twin gables behind a private hedge, birch trees that turn yellow in autumn along the path to a low recycled brick entry connector joining the two pavilions. We love the exposed aggregate driveway in its warm stone palette, and the oversized travertine steppers with chunky hardwood sleepers through thyme and native grasses.

Modern pavilion home with recycled brick accents and large windows, surrounded by perennial gardens and trees under clear blue sky.

Eden meets the street as two gables behind a private hedge, with a low brick entry joining the two pavilions. The brick is San Selmo, reclaimed, in a mix of cream, salmon and burnt orange, and the birch trees do the softening: decent-sized young trees with light trunks and small leaves, planted in a line along the path. You arrive through the garden, not up the driveway. We kept the two apart on purpose. The driveway is exposed aggregate in a hand-picked palette of warm stone, and the path is its own route: oversized travertine steppers and chunky hardwood sleepers through thyme and native grasses. We love this walk, especially in autumn, when the birches go yellow more or less in unison. The house holds its line all year while the garden changes around it by the month. We like that conversation, and it improves as the birches gain height.

You arrive through the garden, not up the driveway.
